Why you received a letter

We looked at houses in a few Florida neighborhoods in Google Street View imagery and wrote to the owners of houses whose exterior paint looked, from the street, like it may be due for attention. The letter names the month of the image. Nobody visited your property. Your name and mailing address came from your county's public property records (the property appraiser's file).

What we collect when you ask for a quote

The code from your letter, your name, the phone number you give us, an email address if you add one, anything you write in the notes, the exact consent text you agreed to and when, and — for a phone request — the call's summary and recording. We also store a salted hash of your IP address (never the address itself) and a shortened browser identifier to stop abuse.

What we do with it

Your request is passed to one local painting contractor, who is asked to call you within one business day with a free, no-obligation quote. That contractor receives your name, phone number, email (if given), the address on your letter and your notes. Nobody else receives them, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

Who helps us run this

Cloudflare hosts this site and stores requests briefly. The letter was printed and mailed by a print service. The street image on this page is shown by Google Maps under Google's own terms. Phone requests are handled by an automated assistant on a telephony platform.

How long we keep it

Requests are removed from the website's storage within 30 days of being collected. We keep our own record of your request for as long as the quote service runs, so we can answer the contractor's and your questions, and delete it on request. Call recordings are kept for at most 90 days.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to delete your request or not to contact you again — email [email protected]. If you do nothing with the letter, nothing happens: it is the only letter we send.

Consent to be contacted

When you check the consent box, you agree that the contractor named on the page and flcurb.com may contact you at the number you gave about your request, including by automated or prerecorded calls and text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw it at any time by telling the caller, replying STOP to a text, or emailing us.
